About Us:

On St Pete Beach since 1986, Coconuts is the oldest comedy club in Florida.  It's intimate showroom with cabaret seating for 100 has the look, size and feel of the original Improv (1964) in Hell's Kitchen near Times Square in New York City.  The atmosphere conjures up the origins of stand up comedy where the likes of Richard Pryor and George Carlin developed their acts.  Notable Coconuts alumni include Jim Breuer and Darryl Hammond of NBC's "Saturday Night Live", Kevin James of CBS's "King Of Queens", Jon Stewart of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show", Billy Gardell of CBS's "Mike & Molly", and Dan Whitney, better known as "Larry The Cable Guy".

Coconuts hosts quality performers from all over the United States and Canada whose credits include "The Late Show ", "The Tonight Show", "Last Comic Standing", Showtime, HBO and Starz comedy specials, Comedy Central, Sirius Satellite Radio, the "Bob & Tom Show", Marc Maron's  Pod Cast, as well as major motion pictures and sitcoms.

Coconuts features a full liquor bar, beer and wine, and a menu of appetizers and sandwiches. Dress is casual and we have free parking.  Coconuts Comedy Club is the perfect night out to unwind with friends and family, enjoy a cocktail and have a good laugh!
